Teen Drivers
It is mandatory in Nevada for all new teen drivers 15 ½ – 17 years of age to successfully complete one of these two programs prior to taking the Nevada License Road Test.
1. You must complete a 30-hour Online Driver’s Education Course that is licensed by the State of Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
2. You can also take the 15/5 program.
This is a 15-hour Online Driver Education Course. Plus, you must complete 5-hours of behind-the-wheel training with a professional driving instructor.
Our Driving Instructors have been tested, approved and background checked by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Each vehicle is DMV safety approved.

When you complete the online course, you will need to set up an appointment online www.dmvnv.com to take the computer permit test. It consists of True or False, Multiple- Choice questions (It is not a timed test).

- State- issued birth certificate(original or certified copy) or a United States Passport
- Social Security Card
- Certification form of attendance signed by a School Official
- A Parent or Guardian to sign your application
- If you want to apply for the REAL ID you must also provide 2 utility bills, or 2 bank or credit card statements, Employment check stubs, see the full list of items by going to (www.dmvnv.com) go to table of contents and look for “Documents” you will need. These must be originals not copies.
- Parents or Guardian will have to sign a DMV-approved form verifying the applicant resides at the same address.
- There are fees associated with these transactions. Go to (dmvnv.com) look up table of contents look for “Fees”. They change frequently so it’s best to check the website.
